This article explains when and why an organization gets suspended or banned. Furthermore, it explains what can be done to revert this status.

When will the Organization be Suspended?

Your Organization may be suspended under the following circumstances:

  • If an invoice remains unpaid as of the first of the month (+ unsuccessful retry).
  • In the event of using our services for illegitimate purposes.
  • Upon detection of suspicious behavior in your usage patterns, noting that we do not monitor activities within your instances.
  • Due to unprofessional conduct towards our company and employees.

What happens when an Organization is Suspended?

When an organization account gets suspended, it leads to these actions:

  • No one (Org. owner, Admin, Members) of an organization will be able to access Instances & all related resources (e.g. Volume, Snapshot, Static IP).

  • The organization account can be reinstated if the organization owner reaches out to customer support and we could resolve the issue due to which the account got suspended.

  • After we reinstate your Org. account, every one in the organization can again access instances and related resources.

When will the organization be banned?

Your organization will face a ban under these conditions:

  • Due to repeatedly unpaid invoices.
  • If your organization's account remains in a suspended state without reinstatement within 90 days following suspension.
  • Should suspicious behavior in your usage patterns reoccur after your account has been reinstated from suspension.
  • Upon discovery of usage of our services for illegitimate purposes.
  • When the Organization Owner’s account is banned.
  • In the event of an unresolved dispute between your company and Genesis Cloud.

What happens when an organization is banned?

When an organization account gets banned, it leads to these actions:

  • No one (Org. owner, Admin, Members) of an organization will be able to access Instances and all related resources (e.g. Volume, Snapshot, Static IP) and all your instances with all related resources will be deleted.

  • This action can not be reversed.

  • However, these actions will not affect any of your personal accounts (Org. Owner’s, Admin’s or Members') which you set up with Genesis Cloud.

Important: The organization is handled independently. Thus, similar to a private account. The Owner's, Admin’s or Members' personal accounts are unaffected, if the organization is banned or suspended.
